In MARC edit, tab should skip field numbers, indicators and subfields.

When adding or editing a MARC record, tabbing through the bib is very tedious.  Yes, you can use your mouse to click to the right spot, but tabbing would be much faster than using the mouse, if tabbing skipped the stuff that you don't usually edit.

Going from the keyboard to the mouse and back again is slow, tabbing & arrowing is faster for entering data.

Display Publisher Release Date in Bib Record

It would be handy to have the catalog display the publisher's release date for titles than have been ordered, assuming that data has been imported from the vendor as part of the order record.  Read more »

Bib record flag to require attached items to have a part assigned.

Currently, you can have items that are assigned parts and items without parts attached to the same bib.  This can lead to holds issues with mulitiple queues forming depending on whether patrons choose a part or just place a title hold.  If even a single item has no part assigned, patrons can then place a title hold, resulting in situations where that single item is trying to fill a long list of title holds, while items with parts assigned are sitting on library shelves.  It's also very easy to forget to assign a part - on some older monitors, the parts dropdown is beyond the Read more »
