When developing a new template in the reporter, in order to add, remove, or fix an element, you have to clone the original report to do so.  It would hugely helpful to be able to edit existing templates (by the template owner).

I would envision this to be web pages using the staff login for authentication that would display a configurable set of reports on a single or multiple page which would be configuration and provide totals.  For instance,  staff would login to their account and see a page that displays their hourly circulation figures, holds filled, open holds and provides totals for each table on a single page.  Another page could be set up to time to fill holds and holds ratios. Edit options after the report has been run

1. Email when the report is completed.  When setting up reports I have included my email and some others.  My email box is now overflowing and the only way to eliminate this is to go back and completely recreate the report.  I would like to open, edit and save after completed to:

  • delete unnecessary emails
  • add additional emails

2. Modify reports slightly without having seven versions of a clone report. Read more »

We have lots of report templates and despite our best efforts to label them and organize them into folders, it's still hard to find the right one.  It's actually pretty easy to run a report once you have found the right template, but I think the complications of trying to figure out which template you need is a real barrier for our users. Add a place to add notes for each filter in a report template

Templates currently display each filter with this information:

Circulation -> Workstation -> Owning Library

Circulation -> Circulating Item -> Circulating Library

This is somewhat helpful for understanding what the report is doing but we'd like to be able to add a descriptive note to each filter in a template to help the user understand what choice they are actually making.
