One override to allow for multiple renewals in one transaction

5

The current workflow if an override is needed on multiple items being renewed is you have to click an override for every item. We would like to see one override that covers all items in the transaction, same as it does for check outs.

Add more fields to batch edit user buckets

2

Our staff are excited about the new user buckets and batch editing, but there are more things we'd like to add to the options:

  • Add new Alerts or Notes
  • Change addresses
  • Change phone numbers
  • Change email address

Editable patron notes

Patron notes currently may only be created and deleted, not edited.  It would be helpful to be able to revisit an existing note with updates.

Update copy status from Check In / Item Status window

25

Have a popup menu option to select from Actions that will allow circ staff to quick-change an item's status without having to open up the Item Attribute Editor.  (Example: Rather than Damage out an item that can be repaired while clearing the dropbox, be able to immediately mark it Mending or Temporarily Unavailable.)

Replace (Handicap) Terminology in Patron Profile

2

When placing a Main (Profile) for a Patron in the Permission Group box, the term "Handicap" should be replaced with a more friendly term. It will help to seem more sensitive to those who need assistance and prevent future confrontations if the terminology is changed sooner rather than later. P Challenged (Physically Challenged). or impaired...etc.

Automatically Set Home Library with Zip Code Provided

It justs seems like a confusing aspect of the software. If a patron wants to change the pick up library it is an option the way things stand now.

Option to email a receipt

7

I understand that we may someday be able to offer an emailed Date Due receipt to patrons after they check out, but I would also like to be able to offer patrons an emailed receipt when they pay overdue fines or  after they pay for lost and damaged items.

block accounts with billed books

1

Old system would prevent patrons from using their account if a book was marked "lost"  even if it was below $10.

In a related issue - couls evergreen be able to prevent a partial payment on a "lost" item.

Claims Returned Receipt

12

When an item is marked Claims Returned, it would be helpful to be able to trigger a configurable receipt (presumably through the Action Trigger Notifications interface) that we could give to the patron that explains our policy.
