MassLNC One-Day Scholarships for Evergreen International Conference

The 2014 Evergreen International Conference is on its way to Massachusetts, and we would like to see many local faces at the conference who otherwise wouldn't be able to attend the event.

MassLNC is offering one-day scholarships for library staff working at C/W MARS, MVLC and NOBLE libraries to attend the conference, which will be held March 19 to March 22, 2014 at the Boston Marriott Cambridge in Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA. Two Months Until Evergreen 2014 Comes to Cambridge

The 2014 Evergreen International Conference will come to Cambrige in just a little more than two months. Co-hosted by MassLNC and Bibliomation, Inc., the conference will be held from Wednesday, March 19 to Saturday, March 22. The schedule offers many programs that will be useful to end users, including a tutorial on using the Evergreen reports module and programs on patron billing, setting up custom receipt templates, and managing buckets and bookbags. Celebrating a New Development Partnership

MassLNC is ringing in the New Year with a new development partnership that will provide more flexibility on how Evergreen sites can use format icons in the catalog.

The Multi-valued Record Attributes and Controlled Record Attributes (MVF/CRA) development project will allow sites to use different icons to easily distinguish between books and e-books, for example, or between VHS, Blu-ray, and DVD. The Massachusetts Library Network Cooperative (MassLNC) is seeking quotes from developers for enhancements to the Evergreen Integrated Library System. MassLNC October 2013 Update

Evergreen 2.5

The Evergreen developers released the beta version of 2.5 at the end of September. The beta release is when new features are cut off for a specific release and gives us a definitive idea of what features will be available. Please note that your library will not see these features until your consortium upgrades to 2.5 (or, in the case of MVLC, during your next update), and the timing of this upgrade varies by consortium. Screencasts for Using the MassLNC Development Ideas Site

Jeff Klapes, Head of Information Services at the Lucius Beebe Memorial Library in Wakefield (NOBLE) and Chair of the MassLNC Development Committee, has created two great screencasts to help library staff use the MassLNC site.

The MassLNC Accounts screencast walks users through the account-creation process and demonstrates how to use MassLNC account features.
