MassLNC Contributes to Acquisitions Development

As MassLNC finished up its LSTA grant period on June 30, the participating networks agreed to commit its remaining development funds to high-priority acquisitions development with the expecatation that the new acquisitions features will be available in the next version of Evergreen (2.3.) MassLNC is one of four partners contributing to this project. Also funding this development are SITKA, SC LENDS, and Bridgeport Public Library (a member of Bibliomation.)

These enhancements will address several needs raised during the January MassLNC acquisitions meeting, including:

  • EDI Invoicing - Targeted vendors are ULS, Baker & Taylor, Ingram, Brodart, (CVS) Midwest Tape, Library Bound, S&B Books and Recorded Books. Sponsored by Bridgeport Public Library.
  • Enriched EDI - Targeted vendors are ULS, Baker & Taylor, Ingram, Brodart, (CVS) Midwest Tape, Library Bound, and S&B Books.
  • Improved workflow for adding lineitems from multiple PO's to an invoice.
  • Admin setting to default number of copies to 1 instead of 0.

Equinox Software, Inc. will be doing the development. The full project details are available on the Equinox blog.

Check out the MassLNC Development Initiatives Page for a full list of projects that were part of the grant. These projects were  funded with a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and by participating libraries.
