Evergreen Use Cases

About the Use Cases

At the beginning of the MassLNC project, library staff from participating networks met together (sometimes in person, sometimes virtually) to create ideal processes for an integrated library system. Each group started by creating a success scenario (a process in which everything goes perfectly) and then identified problems that can arise during a process and how the system should respond. The below use cases are the result of these meetings.

The use cases do not identify current processes in Evergreen nor do they neccessarily identify processes that should be used in Evergreen. MassLNC used these processes to build the first set of software requirements against which we tested Evergreen's functionality. After initial and ongoing testing, MassLNC pulled together development requirements, and network staff at participating consortia prioritized these requirements, frequently placing the highest priority on those requirements that improved workflow. This process led to several MassLNC Development Initiatives.
