About MassLNC

The Massachusetts Library Network Cooperative is a collaborative project of two Massachusetts library consortia - C/W MARS and NOBLE - to implement and jointly develop Evergreen. This project started with the support of a Library Services and Technology Act grant from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and is currently supported by MassLNC partners and their participating libraries.

MassLNC supports the use by Massachusetts libraries of the open-source Evergreen Integrated Library System by:

  • managing the pooling of resources to fund Evergreen development;
  • facilitating a mutual support mechanism among participating libraries;
  • working with participants to strengthen skills so that they are better able to support and improve Evergreen;
  • advocating for the needs of Massachusetts libraries with the larger Evergreen community;
  • and assisting new Massachusetts libraries moving to Evergreen.

The cooperative manages the MassLNC Evergreen Development Initiative, a project for Evergreen sites inside and outside of Massachusetts to pool resources to fund exciting new enhancements and important improvements in the Evergreen software.
